Biography
Susan Krumdieck is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Chair in Energy Transition Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, where she is the research director of the Islands Centre for Net Zero. She has published more than 160 peer reviewed works, including four book chapters and the first text on the Transition Engineering principles, design approach, methods, interdisciplinary communication and analytical tools. She is the co-founder of the Global Association for Transition Engineering (GATE) and was awarded Queen’s Honours for service to sustainability and engineering in 2020.
